Aggregates has pledged $100,000 to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital,
through four annual donations of $25,000.
Great
Northern Exhibition
For
many years, Georgian Aggregates has provided a product donation of stone
screenings to the Great Northern Exhibition, an annual fall fair near
Collingwood. The screenings are used to provide walkways and drainage
areas at the fairgrounds.
Junior
racing team, Horseshoe Valley
A
junior ski racing team competing at Horseshoe Valley in 2001 was supported
through donations from Georgian Aggregates.
'Station
on the Green', Creemore
Georgian
provided a product donation of landscaping rock and foundation stone
to the 'Station on the Green' project in Creemore, where a former train
station was converted into a banquet and community centre in 2001-2002.
United
Way payroll deduction
In
2003 two Georgian employees were recognized by the United Way for their
generous payroll deductions. Equipment operator Darrin Reid and construction
superintendent John Chipchase donated to the Collingwood United Way
through payroll deductions, supporting programs such as summer camp
for kids and local literacy programs.
Junior
"A" hockey team
Georgian
is a corporate sponsor of the Collingwood Blues Junior "A"
hockey team. We wish the best of luck to the team in the 2003/2004 season!
Adopt
a Road
Georgian
is a proud "adoptive parent" of County Road 91, from County
Road 124 to the Osprey/Clearview Townline. Georgian staff conduct "clean-up
days" twice each year for County Road 91, including removing trash
from ditches.
