Georgian Aggregates is committed to the protection of the environment. The information from the initial assessment reports is used to develop environmental monitoring and prevention programs.

Georgian Aggregates conducts extensive water monitoring programs in the vicinity of each of our locations. Both ground and surface water is monitored for quality and quantity.

Georgian Aggregates in conjunction with the professional consulting firm of Jagger Hims, manages the water monitoring program. Annually, assessment reports are prepared by Jagger Hims and used by Georgian Aggregates to assess the environmental performance of operation.

On an annual basis, starting in June 2002, aggregate operations are required to estimate air emissions under Ontario Ministry of the Environment under Ontario Regulation 127/01.

This program requires our sites to estimate their yearly emissions of particulate matter and other parameters using an emissions modeling software program. Georgian Aggregates have made these reports available through this web page.
