From time to time Walker companies sponsor apprentices. Some areas for apprenticing include:

Walker Industries is committed to working with post secondary institutions to provide co-op placements in our areas of operations. Some of the students that have had placements in the poast have been studying in the following areas:

Many of our operations experience seasonal fluctuations in staffing requirements. Typically the period between May and October is our busiest time of year. As a result, we often have staffing requirements during this period.

Some of the positions that may become available include:

  • Equipment Operators (Rollers, Pavers, Loaders, Backhoes, Graders)
  • General Labourers
  • Property Maintenance (painting containers, facilities)
  • Experienced Truck Drivers (AZ and DZ licences)
