Niagara Waste Systems Limited has approval to operate a non-hazardous solid waste landfill through Certificate of Approval A120211 issued by the Ministry of the Environment. The Certificate of Approval (CofA) sets terms and conditions by which a waste disposal site must operate including outlining acceptable waste for receipt, volumes of waste receipt, monitoring programs and financial security. The site must not only operate within the terms and conditions outlined on the face of the certificate of approval but also in accordance with the environmental law.
