Niagara Waste Systems operates a non-hazardous solid waste landfill site located in Parts of Lots 11, 30, 31, 49, 50 and 66 in the City of Niagara Falls, Regional Municipality of Niagara. The landfill has operated under the ownership of Walker Industries Holdings Limited since its opening in 1982. The Ministry of the Environment originally approved the landfill site in 1982. The site now operates under the authority of Certificate of Approval Number A120211 dated November 26, 2001.
