Generally, a layer of 50mm crusher run is laid and compacted, followed by a layer of properly compacted Granular A or 19mm crusher run. Most roads are built to the specifications laid out by Engineers, but generally, one needs a minimum of 300mm Crusher Run of the sub-base material, followed by 150mm base material.
