Walker Aggregates Inc. Purchases G. Priest Construction
THOROLD – Walker Aggregates Inc. has purchased G. Priest Construction Limited. This company is located at 4430 Horseshoe Valley Road in Minesing, east of Stayner, with assets that include a sand and gravel pit, trucks and related equipment. The nine non-shareholder employees of the company will join the Walker team and owner Greg Priest will work as a consultant to Walker.
“Over the past year we have been looking to refocus our business in order to strengthen our core aggregate operations in Simcoe County, says Walker Aggregates vice-president, Ken Lucyshyn. “The purchase of G. Priest Construction will help us do this.” He says the company will keep its name for the time being, but will eventually come under the Walker Aggregates Inc. identity.
“We are pleased to be growing our aggregate business and are especially delighted to be adding this particular company to our operations,” Lucyshyn says. “As a fellow aggregate producer, G. Priest Construction shares our qualities of being a well-run business that operates with high standards and integrity.”
Walker Aggregates Inc. operates quarries in Thorold, Vineland, Fort Erie, West Lincoln, Duntroon and Orillia and sand and gravel pits in Simcoe and Grey counties.
