Host Community Presentation

Walker Environmental fosters strong relationships within the communities and cities in which we do business by sponsoring local events, communicating openly with residents as well as working to achieve common goals with local governments.

Mike Watt presents the chequeWalker Environmental ’s Niagara Waste Systems Limited landfill (NWSL) is an integral part of the waste management infrastructure for many cities in the Regional Municipality of Niagara and operates in both the City of Thorold and the City of Niagara Falls. As part of working together and building strong relationships with these Cities, NWSL created Host Community Agreements for inbound waste received at the South Landfill.

To celebrate the second year of South Landfill operations in each of the Host Communities, Mike Watt presented a cheque to the City of Thorold’s Mayor, Ted Luciani and Regional Councilor, Henry D’Angela on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 and the Niagara Falls’ Mayor, Jim Diodati on Friday, March 25, 2011.

Mike Watt presents another chequeThe funds received from NWSL will be used to support the Seymour-Hannah Sports & Entertainment Centre (4-pad) in St. Catharines, and the Nick Basciano Community Centre in Thorold.
