Walker Aggregates Donates Stone for New Sports Pad in Simcoe County

Warminster Township in Simcoe County will be receiving a new multipurpose sports pad complete with lighting and landscaping at its Danny McHugh Park, thanks in part to a stone donation from Walker Aggregates’ Severn Quarry and Orillia Pits. The redevelopment project at the now-vacant site will provide opportunities for community children to play sports and other activities year round.

“It’s amazing to see the whole community rally around its youth like this,” says Ryan Wall, Vice President of Aggregates in Simcoe and Essex who, with two school-aged children of his own, appreciates the value of these recreational community spaces. “Walker Aggregates is pleased to be able to contribute to this huge effort alongside other local businesses and the township.”

The sports pad is scheduled to be completed by September.
