Walker Emulsions Staff Supports Habitat Build Project in Burlington

On April 13 and 14, staff from Walker Emulsions in Burlington, Ontario, participated in a build project at Habitat Halton-Mississauga’s Plains Road site where 13 townhomes are currently under construction.

As part of a $200,000 gift in February 2015 from the Walker family and Walker Industries (the parent company of Walker Emulsions), Habitat Halton-Mississauga received $50,000 for its region. These funds will help provide local families with safe, decent and affordable homes.

As a team building exercise, the staff from Walker Emulsions were put into teams and over two days were given the opportunity to work together to give back to the community in which they do business.

“This is the first time our local division has participated in a build”, explained Rocco Battaglia, Walker Emulsions Director of Operations.

Walker Emulsions is looking forward to continuing to work with Habitat and supporting future build projects in Burlington.
