Technology Information
IMS utilizes two aerobic composting technologies, Open-Windrow Composting, and the GORE® Cover System Technology. These composting processes are managed in accordance with the MOE “Interim Guidelines for the Production and Use of Aerobic Compost in Ontario.” Operational activities that are outlined by the Guidelines include monitoring of windrow temperatures, minimum turning requirements, compost quality parameters, and reporting criteria. Site inspections are completed daily and all equipment undergoes daily and monthly inspections.
